Cindy Parker, director, Friends' Memorial Public Library (PA) introduces the Small Business Start-up Backpack that was created for McKean County libraries by the Entrepreneurship Program University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. The backpack contains 4 books and local resource information. It circulates as one unit. Cindy introduced the backpack at the Project Compass workshop at the 2011 PaLA conference. Attendees were eager to return to their libraries to create small business backpacks and even job seeker and personal finance backpacks!
