Sustainability
In 2019, the American Library Association adopted sustainability as a core value of the profession and embraced the triple bottom line framework, which seeks balance at the nexus of environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic feasibility. In 2024, the Sustainable Libraries Initiative and the American Library Association launched the National Climate Action Strategy for Libraries. WebJunction’s resources on this topic focus on actionable, practical ideas to address climate change and contribute to a future that considers not only climate change mitigation, but also adaptation and justice.
Webinar and seminar recordings on this topic are freely available in the WebJunction Course Catalog.
