Plainfield | Guilford Township Public Library in Indiana caught our eye with a wonder staff appreciation post: "Celebrating our colleague David 'The Tie Guy's' 20th anniversary at the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library." - Middletown Township Public Library in New Jersey is honoring their 100th Anniversary with the community this month to "celebrate our past, present and future." They began to use the #mtpl100 hashtag in early May to highlight upcoming events, historical facts about the library (check out the first book mobile and a Centennial Trivia Quiz), and to capture photos from their family-friendly kick-off event. The celebration included crafts and activities, ice cream, displays with the library's history, 1920's dancing, and a special Centennial Garden Story Time near the 100+ begonias planted for the occasion. They opened a time capsule from 1971 and gathered items for a new capsule to open in 50 years, and even created a Centennial video!
